This 8,000 SF residence utilized the rear views to an adjacent college campus wooded area.  Window area to the street side was minimized.  The house was programmed with the family functions on the north (kitchen, family room, lower level recreation, children's bedrooms), and on the south are the private areas such as the master bedroom and office.  First level uses the living room and dining room as a buffer between family and private spaces and a bridge over the living room / entry connects the second floor bedrooms to provide this same buffer.
