Windsor Court Townhomes

Warrenville, IL       

Windsor Court is an 8-unit one-story townhome community consisting of barrier free affordable and adaptable fair market townhome units.  This project allows for the integration between persons with and without disabilities (adaptable units can be easily converted into a barrier free unit).

This Barrier Free project required a significant level of design and reaches far beyond the minimum requirements for accessibility as established by the Fair Housing Act.

The site was tucked in among many trees, of which as many as possible were saved to create a mature walk / pathway. Concerns for minimum slope to these walks were critical for people with disabilities, as well as seniors to easily use this park-like concept.
