St. Bernadette Gym Addition

Evergreen Park, IL      

The existing school gymnasium was located in a surplus Army Quonset hut.  The building was showing its age (originally manufactured during World War II), and was not large enough to allow for spectator viewing of school events. The new gymnasium design was to accommodate regulation size basketball and volleyball courts, with room for concessions and spectator seating.  The exterior of the gym was designed to compliment the adjacent church structure in form and materials. Preliminary design completed for funding.
