This project is located on a small site adjacent to the Village of
Tinley Park Historic District. In order to allow for parking
and landscaping requirements, while still meeting our clients required building
size, a two-story 15,000 SF building with basement was designed. The building
was located on the site in such a way as to allow for the majority of
the parking in the rear. This allowed for a landscape area between
the building and the street, allowing for the building to be more prominent
from the street. Our client desired a contemporary styled building
with the hopes of attracting high tech medical tenants. As the
property is adjacent to the Village of Tinley Park's Historic Area, the
Village desired a building that would fit in with the existing historic
structures. The resultant design is a mix of contemporary and
traditional architectural elements, which met with the approval of the
Village and the Client.
